Centers for Dietary Supplements Research: Botanicals
These interdisciplinary and collaborative dietary supplement centers will advance understanding of how botanicals affect human health. Studies of the safety, effectiveness, and biological action of botanical products are major focuses for the five research centers.
Note: These Centers constitute the NIH Botanical Research Center Program.
For more information, contact Craig Hopp, Ph.D.
Developmental Centers for Research on CAM
Partnerships for CAM Clinical Translational Research
These Centers support developmental research on CAM through collaborations between CAM schools and conventional biomedical research institutions. (U19 mechanism; small- and moderately sized research projects).
For more information, contact Partap Khalsa, D.C., Ph.D.
International Centers for Research on CAM
These Centers support the establishment of programs of rigorous, high-quality research on CAM/TM practices in their sites of origin and determine the value of such practices in improving health and well-being; support the development of global CAM/TM research capacity; facilitate and encourage international research collaborations and exchange; and contribute to the preservation of systems of traditional and indigenous knowledge.
