Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA)

The NIH is launching a new program designed to transform clinical and translational research, so that new treatments can be developed more efficiently and delivered more quickly to patients. The Institutional Clinical and Translational Science Awards (CTSA) program will create a definable academic home for the discipline of clinical and translational science. All NIH institutes and centers, including NCCAM, are participating. Partnerships in the CTSA are strongly encouraged between schools of medicine, dentistry, nursing, pharmacy, osteopathy, public health, engineering, as well as from CAM schools directly involved with clinical and translational research.
