Administrative Supplements for Summer Research Opportunities

NOT-OD-09-060: Recovery Act Funds for Administrative Supplements to Research Grants for the Support of High School and College Students, Post-Baccalaureate and Post-Master's Personnel, and Science Educators »

 

This initiative is one of several being offered by NCCAM to help fulfill the goals of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) to help stimulate the economy through support of biomedical and behavioral research. Additional information about the Recovery Act and related NIH opportunities is available through the Office of Extramural Research.

Areas of Scientific Priority

Areas of focus for NCCAM's ARRA administrative supplements include the following:

• Accelerating recruitment of participants to ongoing, NCCAM-funded clinical trials (e.g., adding additional clinical sites or recruitment staff)
• Accelerating the pace of experiments, data collection, or methods validation in basic and translational research (e.g., adding additional personnel).

Funding Priorities

NCCAM will accept requests for the following types of grants:

• R01, R15, R21, P01, P50, and K99/R00.

The following types of grants will not be accepted:

• All other activity codes not listed above.

Application Receipt Dates

The final receipt date for applications for administrative supplements for the support of high school and college students, post-baccalaureate and post-master's personnel, and science educators to be awarded in FY 2009 is April 30, 2009. NCCAM will determine at a later date whether applications for 1-year funding in FY 2010 will be accepted, and will update this page accordingly.
