Brian Berman, M.D., is professor of family and community medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and founder and director of its Center for Integrative Medicine. A family physician and pain management specialist, he cofounded and coordinates the complementary medicine field within the Cochrane Collaboration, which is dedicated to evaluating medical practices through systematic literature reviews.

Vitaly Napadow, Ph.D., Lic.Ac., is assistant professor in radiology at Harvard Medical School; and assistant in neuroscience, and faculty member at the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging, at Massachusetts General Hospital. He conducts functional MRI and M/EEG studies regarding the effects of acupuncture on the human brain.

Bruce R. Rosen, M.D., Ph.D., is professor of radiology and health sciences and technology, Harvard Medical School, and director of the Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Center and the Athinoula A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging at Massachusetts General Hospital. His research addresses how functional imaging tools can be applied to solve specific biological and clinical problems.
