Text Version of The range of research questions
This graphic shows the range of research questions in NCCAM-supported studies. It begins with one type of research, basic science, which asks, "How does this complementary approach work?" Then, translational research asks, "Can it be studied in people?" Efficacy studies ask, "What are the specific effects?" Finally, outcomes and effectiveness research asks, "How well does it work in real-world settings?"
