Options for Applicants After These Deadlines
Starting with the February 16, 2010, receipt date (NOT-AT-09-009), NCCAM will accept new R21 grant applications under the NIH R21 Parent Announcement for R21 applications (NIH Exploratory/Developmental Research Grant Program). NCCAM will be listed as a participant in the Parent R21 Announcement beginning in December 2009. A notice will be placed in the NIH Guide and on this Web site to alert the applicant community.
Applicants may submit a new R01 application under PA-07-070.
NCCAM is also currently developing one or more FOAs for support of preliminary clinical research and development and initial pilot studies of potentially promising CAM interventions. Further information will be posted on the NCCAM Web site and in the NIH Guide in the near future.
Applicants are urged to closely follow the guidelines and instructions that apply to each specific FOA, given the many recent changes in application format.
Applicants are also urged to discuss their application with the appropriate NCCAM program officer.
