This Web page contains the list of Program Announcements (PAs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs) relevant to this PAR, as well as information on the Applicant Information Meeting and Technical Assistance Conference calls.
1) Eligible Minority Health Research Centers and Health Disparities Research Centers
As stated in the program announcement, this PAR, CAM at Minority or Health Disparities Research Centers, is open to institutions that received funding from NIH for a center for minority health research or health disparities (MH/HD) research. A center is defined as an organizational entity (including an institutional collaboration) that receives both research project funding and administrative "core" funding through the same mechanism. As stated in the PA, the application must include a letter from the MH/HD center director assuring the availability of the center's resources for collaboration on the project. Current center funding is not required for participation in this solicitation. An institution that received funding from NIH in the past for a MH/HD research center and is not receiving current funding may apply provided that the MH/HD center continues to function as a viable research entity. The requirement for a letter from the center director is not waived.
Institutions with MH/HD research centers that were funded from the following Program Announcements (PAs) and Requests for Applications (RFAs) are eligible to submit applications to this PAR. Although every effort has been made to identify all relevant PAs and RFAs, this list may be incomplete and will be updated as needed. If your institution has received NIH funding for a MH/HD research center through a PA or RFA not included on this list and you think it is eligible, please contact Dr. Morgan Jackson at 301-402-1278 or Dr. Peter Kozel at 301-496-8004 regarding eligibility.
