  • Staff Scientist 1 (Facility Head), NIH Pain Research Center

    The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) seeks to identify an outstanding Staff Scientist 1 to be the facility head to lead activities, supervise staff, and manage the budget of the NIH Pain Research Center (PRC). 

  • Staff Scientist 1 (Section on Affective Neuroscience and Pain) [Deadline: April 4, 2024]

    Dr. Lauren Atlas is hiring a staff scientist focused on neuroimaging methods and analysis, with a particular focus on functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). The successful candidate will work in the Section on Affective Neuroscience and Pain as part of a growing research program focused on identifying brain mechanisms underlying psychological modulation of pain and emotion in health and disease. 

  • Postdoctoral Fellow Position: Section on Sensory Cells and Circuits, Division of Intramural Research

    Dr. Alexander Chesler is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow for fully funded research in the Section on Sensory Cells and Circuits to study the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying somatosensation, interoception, and pain.

  • Postdoctoral Researcher Positions: Section on Affective Neuroscience and Pain, Division of Intramural Research

    Dr. Lauren Atlas’s laboratory is recruiting up to two postdoctoral researchers with expertise in functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) and affective science to join the Section on Affective Neuroscience and Pain (ANP) to lead new projects on the psychological modulation of pain and emotional experience. 

  • Clinical Research Fellowship in Translational Pain Medicine

    This clinical research fellowship, housed in the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health (NCCIH) is organized with the goal to provide training and broad experience and skills in human pain research, which would translate into improved diagnostic skills and targeted interventions.
